Seattle Banjo Festivals

For over 15 years, we sponsored the Seattle Banjo Festival as a 2 or 3 day event.
Until 2005, t
he main event was a grand performance held at the Burien Performing Arts Center. This magnificent auditorium seated 800 people comfortably. The acoustics were truly excellent. The combination of great talent and an outstanding venue contributed to a sold-out crowd nearly every year. We usually had different bands from 3 or 4 states as well as Canada and Japan performing.

Due to reduced attendance, and rising costs, beginning in 2005 the Festival was replaced with a Weekend Get-A-Away that features non-stop playing, jamming and social gathering at a resort location (Port Hadlock) in Washington State.

Again, due to rising costs, beginning in 2008 the Festival has been replaced with The Western Washington Banjo Festival hosted by the Tacoma Banjo Band at the Little Creek Casino in Shelton, Washington.
