Dear Banjo Enthusiasts;
We want you to really enjoy the Seattle Banjo Festival this year and have a new hotel for our headquarters.  In response to comments from previous years the festival hotel this year is the Hawthorn Suites which offers a choice of two arrangements:

  • 600 sq. ft. studio suite with queen bed, bathroom, sitting room and sleeper sofa for $89 plus tax per night.
  • 800 sq. ft. townhouse suite with two private bedrooms with queen size beds, 2 bathrooms, a sitting room and sleeper sofa for $99 plus tax per night.
With either choice you will have:
  • Complimentary 40 item hot buffet breakfast served daily 6-9 AM on Monday through Friday and 7-10 AM on Saturday and  Sunday.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances.
  • In room coffee maker, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards.
  • Cable TV with HBO.
  • Complimentary shuttle service to and from SeaTac Airport,  Southcenter Mall, etc. within five miles.
  • Indoor whirlpools, fitness room.
  • Two telephones in each room with voice mail and high speed internet.
  • On site coin-operated laundry.
Please make your reservation before April 1st.  After that date, they will not be holding our block of suites so you may not be close to all the action.
Headliner Scott Whitfield will conduct separate plectrum and tenor workshops free on Saturday and will conduct an all day (six hours) workshop on Monday, April 26th, for a limited number of participants at a cost of  $100 or less per person depending on the number of attendees. If you are interested in the Monday workshop or have questions contact Jack LaFond, (425)235-7460 or jwlafond@msn.com by April 5th.
